Important Information:
Students should bring a
sack lunch on Monday to eat after we return from the field trip or they may buy
from the cafeteria. There will also be
concessions at the pool.
Students may no longer
charge their lunches if they have a negative balance.
Students will be turning in their chromebooks next Wednesday. Please help you students to remember to bring in their chromebooks AND chargers on that day.
As we get closer to the end
of the year, please remind students to continue to do their best to be Ready,
Respectful, and Responsible.
Permission slips have been
sent home for our trip to Sports Fusion on May 26th. Library fines must be paid to attend the
Sports Fusion field trip.

Please remind students of the following regarding dismissal at the end of the day:
1) students should leave for home, their ride, or a bus at 3:15
3). Students are encouraged to walk to the Rec center if their transportation home is not on time and be picked up at the Rec.
We cannot have students unsupervised throughout the building in the late afternoons. It is a critical safety and security issue and student safety comes first.

After school activities
have ended. Students should be picked by
3:35. If they have made arrangements to
stay with a specific teacher, students must also have arranged for transportation
home.
Summer school enrollment
can be completed here.
English –
The final test over The Outsiders is on Tuesday, May 24th! If your student plans on missing that day, he/she needs to speak with me about establishing an alternative time to complete it. Students can dress up like a greaser or a Soc to receive a free question on the test! All outfits must comply with the school dress code.
We'll be watching the movie version of The Outsiders on Wednesday. The movie is rated PG, but if you have any concerns about the material in the movie, please let me know and your student will be provided with an alternative activity. Students are welcome to bring snacks!

Social Studies –
Students did a fantastic
job on the field trip to the Art Museum.
I was so happy with their behavior and positive attitude. They have received their study guides for the
last summative - which will be on May 24th. We went over them in class on Thursday, and
the answer key is posted on my website in The Middle Ages section.

Science –
Students finished their boats for the Regatta this week. We will be going to the Rec Center for the Regatta Race on Monday, May 23rd. Students should return all permission forms (both captain forms and attendance forms) to Ms. Kraushaar. Students cannot attend the trip if a form is not turned in!
