Science –

In Dynamic Systems Science we have been investigating temperature, barometric pressure, and specific heat capacity of water, asphalt, concrete, and soil. Of course we did MAP testing on Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday we did the outside temperature data collection lab. The students recorded temperature reading from sunny & shaded soil, water, concrete, and asphalt during the lab. They had to decide whether their hypothesis was supported or proven false. The students have been recording temperature and barometric pressure everyday, and converting from Fahrenheit to Celsius, and inches/Hg to millibars. They are now graphing two dependent variables, temperature  °C, and Barometric pressure in millibars to determine the relationship between them.

Their homework is to watch a weather forecast on Sunday paying close attention to high and low pressure systems and warm and cold fronts.

If you have any questions or comments please let me know.
